Short encouragement

God lives within us. He wants us to realize that it's a intimate relationship . We r temples of God for the holy spirit dwells within us ! For god is ours and we are his ! I'm gonna seek God today so that I will seek him tomorrow and the next. Not only when I'm in the time or need of a emergency, 1 Corinthians 3:16,23 Be encouraged...We r not perfect but God is perfect in us. So seeking him will only complete us!

Growing in Christ

But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. (Hebrews 5:14 NASB) We as Christians need focus on our spiritual growth! The only way we can do that is by learning the and believing the truth of the word of God and applying it to the life that was given to us by God! When we r weak in our faith we are indeed like infants. Unable to comprehend the things that God wants for us and the blessings that are at our reach! Only because we choose not to grow in the word of God and expand our faith by living out the truth that is within us. Being a Christians is more than reading scriptures and knowing truth for it says that we alone can't save our selves so we cannot boast about anything. Our salvation is given to us. So the understanding of truth is given. Alway we have I do is receive and believe. I pray that God continues to work with in me and reveals his truth to me so that I may strive to apply his truth daily in my life which is also a gift from God so that I may glorify him in all that I do. I apologize in advance if there r some spelling errors it's gettin late lol! The last few weeks have been really good for me! Football has been picking up rather smoothly especially after our last game against the redskins! But the main thing that makes these last couple weeks great is the growth I'm experiencing with my relationship with God! It's amazing what God will reveal to you if you just engage yourself in seeking him through his word! I had the chance to see the movie courageous with my mom the other week! It was a great movie! But what I took from it was that if my soul purpose here on earth is to glorify God, then I'm going to have to be courageous and stand bold in what I believe in! Repenting and believing is a daily thing we have to do. (Mark 1:15 surrendering and acknowledging that im a sinner and then turning away from sin as i give God total control and believing that I'm only saved by the grace of God and that my weaknesses are strengthened in Him. We cant build our faith in God with out getting to know him, which is why we need to digest the word of God as much as we can so that we can be directed in the path that God has for us. When u find yourself in the will of God... U will start to see that the people and paths that u once knew begin to change for the good! Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds meaning that our mind set everyday has to be renewed! We r all sinners only God can give us the strength and wisdom to live the life he has called us for.. Which is to glorify Him in boldness. (Ephesians 3:12). We need refreshment in God daily because the devil is working daily against us! in our team bible study this week josh Vaughn a team mate of mine ended our session with this verse which was really encouraging!! "The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread? When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident". (Psalm 27:1-3 NASB) All God wants us to do is believe and receive ! Knowing what's right is nothing if u don't believe it!!

Today at revolution park in charlotte nc ,God used a older man to encourage me to press on through my work out! During my conditioning It was getting real tough towards the end and out of know where a man came up from the side of the field and gave me some nice kind words to encourage me and commend me for the hard work he has seen me put in! God is so good to us I believe that god used this man to uplift my strength to finish strong which I did! God is always there which is why he's always on time (Jehovah shammah) eziekiel 48:35 hes always there !!! To encourage us to love us to pat us on the back to lean on to cry on. to thank is he Jesus christ for being my savior but lord first as I strive to serve the kingdom of God !! Be blessed

Gods grace and mercy

As a believer in Christ I think I sometimes get caught up in the good and bad list of things that I do and don't do. God doesn't love me because I'm a good person, but he loves me so that I can be a good person. Gods grace on my life is something I don't deserve but I'm thankful for his perfect plan... And when I find my self out of his will I'm thankful for his mercy... The things that I do deserve for my actions but dont get in full because of his love and faithfulness to me to become the man of God that he calls me to be! This walk is not easy but just remember that Gods Grace is sufficient and his mercy saves us from our own destruction. We are all Gods children and he has chosen us to follow his will. So let's seek god daily so we can be fullfiled with the joy and peace that was made for us! "We are not perfect but God is, and that gives me hope"!

Today I had a pool work out This morning at 6am.. It was rough getting up this morning! The 5 minute ride to to pete bommoritos facility, thinking about the many swimming laps that I was about to encounter after a really tough tuesday workout! Jumped in the pool ready for my doom I was relieved when I heard pete tell Me and Jairus Byrd that we were going to spend the day in the pool to regenerate our body's! He had notice yesterday that our body's were beat! So in order for us to Finish the week out strong after starting the week off so great we needed a day of regeneration! Everyday we may struggle with gettin our days jumped started and rolling, but somehow we find away to get up and do what we have to do! But in order for us to be productive rather than counter-productive we have to prepare our selves properly, for me it's Putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6 10-18). You would be silly not to wear armor or have your choice of weapon when u go out to war, or you would be foolish to step on a football field with out pads and a gameplan. I look at the Armor of god in the same aspect! So striving to wake up and prepare my mindset in that order, is a goal of mine everyday! But just as you wake up to Initially generate yourself for the day you must also regenerate throughout it. we are constantly dealing with things in our days, we must find time to get in a zone and get reconnected with our values, our motivations, and our purpose, so that we don't burn ourselves out Being stuck in one gear! Let's get are days started with a great mind set and regenerate daily so that we can be productive with our walk with god, friendships, work, family, businesses, and social life! How do you guys get through your days! Whether it's a good or bad day!

I just wanted to take time and blog about the true friendships in my life! Share with y'all the people I've grown up with I'm sure they won't mind. I've learned over the years that you can't do everything on your own you have people in your life that can help and guide you! My friends from highshool luis Andy Anthony Colby Colton and jaron and Joe have been there through thick and thin! Through the times where Ive struggled and through the high points of my life! I love them like family because they are my family! Cecil Daniels a true man of God! someone that i look up to!!Showing me how to order his steps as a father husband and person of good character with loyalty! Jairus Byrd and Titus Jackson my two roommates from college that I've grown with into a man; experiencing new things with! And to Dennis and Garren who are like my big brothers in college that took me in and showed me the ropes! " life is a dash"! If you have close friends that have helped you become who u are to this day share with them there value to you and cherish them because it's not everyday that you encounter good people with good intentions! Please share with me the value of your friendships with people in your life in any way shape or form!

Psalms 41: 1-13

Today i woke up and read Psalms 41: 1-13 as i read these 13 verses it stuck out to me that lately my character has been faulty because of my lack of integrity with my walk with God. Sometimes we get so caught up in things that go on in our daily life of trying to be social in the wrong crowds, or trying to please others, or just putting our focus else where before we put it on God. So instead of practicing duplicity, this morning im going to strive to work on my integrity. everyday we struggle against our flesh and blood and the things of this world, which is why we have to be consistent in our walk with Christ. thankfully his mercy and grace shadows us daily.�

Not only does God see us we also see him. "Set me before your face Forever" verse 12. that is what gives us integrity : knowing that we are walking and doing the things that God wants us to do . speaking before the face of God. when we fear him, we dont have to fear anything else.�

Dont be worried about your reputation and conduct. God cares about your character because thats what drives us to be closer to him, being you unified. How is your character mine has struggled over and over but i cant be to hard on myself because ill just dig another ditch. but knowing that Gods Grace and mercy is sufficient, i can do nothing but press forward and work on my character and become unified with God.

hey thanks everyone that has joined my site i hope that as time goes along that more people are able to come and experience that jonathan outside of football i will be engaged in my site really often more so than i tweet so this should really be a great experience spread the word. and if anyone has any topics or anything you want to discuss please throw it out and lets start this website of right! non football related but if ya cant help throw it in anyways lol hope you all enjoy updates on pics and music are coming as well

In the hours before a game, I can look in any direction and see one of my teammates from the Carolina Panthers plugged into their headphones listening to my music. Among the receivers, Kenny Moore and Dante Rosario have made it part of their game day rituals. On defense, linebacker Jon Beason has, as well. Pro Bowl receiver Steve Smith has even asked for a couple CD’s.

They all love it. It fires them up. It’s good to know that my music is being listened to for a purpose. Music does different things for each person. For me, my music makes me feel laid back or gives me something to do. The best part is that I am able to express myself in how the music sounds.

I started playing piano in third grade when my mom bought me a keyboard, but only recently have I started to compose my own music. For the past two years, I have been playing music by ear. It’s different from playing chords, but it’s not too tough. It’s just kind of one of those crazy gifts where you can hear a sound and immediately be able to play it.

Sometimes when I go to church, I’ll hear a melody, go back home and play it by ear on my keyboard. One of my favorite songs is Superhuman by Chris Brown and Keri Hilson. When I tried to play it by ear, it took about a minute to figure it out and 30 minutes to play it. The cool thing is I am able to take a piece someone has worked at vigorously and play it right away.

I take greater pleasure from my own music. I like to describe my style as hip pop, a combination of pop music and R&B. My musical influences come from Alicia Keys for her piano playing ability, Kanye West for his creativity and Timberland because he is a freakishly good producer. Some of my songs such as RetroFine, Kisses and Butterfly contain sounds from the piano, guitar, drum kicks, snare and claps -- it’s all inside my keyboard. My music is relaxing, it helps me unwind from my demanding schedule.

On the field, I try to make music, too. I’m not too focused on individual stats, but this year I want to improve on my 2009 numbers of 1,133 yards and 10 touchdowns. A greater concern, for me, is the team. This year it’s my goal for the Panthers to become the best team in the history of the franchise and win the Super Bowl. That’s my goal every year.

At 5-feet-11, 235 pounds, I have developed a punishing running style. At the point of contact I don’t try to break the tackle of a defender, I try to bowl over him. On one of my first carries as a pro, I got tripped along the left sidelines by a Redskins defensive back, kept my balance and scored on a 50 yard run. I had just come off toe surgery and to me the play proved I could play in the NFL. In one of my final games last season, I had my best with a Panthers-record 206 yards and a touchdown against the Giants.

I want to use this site as a way to connect with my fans through Ustream, a platform that will provide video streaming of me either through my computer or phone. I also plan to write a weekly blog to give you updates about my football and music. The site may also have Jonathan Stewart trivia contests where you can win “Stewy” merchandise.

By the time my career is over, I want to win a Super Bowl and be inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. With my music, I believe I can be just as successful. It’s my dream to develop my own label - Heart Grab Productions - and sell my music to established artists. Eventually, I’d like to help clean up hip hop music. Maybe then, hip hop will be known for the unique sounds that are produced, not for degrading women and society.
